John Southard Youth Recreation Program

518665_44636567The John Southard Youth Recreation Commission (JSYRC) program engages youth in physical, artistic, and mental/social interaction while providing alternative, drug-free activities.

Every Summer JSYRC provides youth residing in Bath, NY with a 5-week summer camp for all children. The camp includes field trips on Mondays and Wednesday as well as Arts and Crafts/Movies with the Dormann Library on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. The program is completely free to all Bath youth ages 5-15, and is a great way to keep them busy doing safe and fun activities throughout the summer.

This year we have partnered with the Dormann Library 2017 Summer Learning – Build A Better World. If you are registered in both programs, you will receive a participation coupon for attending field trips with the JSYRC program. Each week you will be able to enter your coupon for prizes drawn on Fridays by Dormann Library staff, as well as entry into the grand prize drawing!

JSYRC also hosts a Halloween Parade and Easter Egg Hunt every year which is also free to the youth.
