Bath Area Hope for Youth

A beautiful female looks to the side

Bath Area Hope for Youth provides one-on-one and small group counseling in schools to youth identified as being at risk for substance abuse. An evidence-based curriculum is used that helps students boost “protective factors” such as family attachment, pro-social involvement, academic participation, sense of right and wrong, and association with pro-social peers. Services are confidential and available to all children.

Impact

88% of students enrolled in Bath Area Hope for Youth’s individual and small-group prevention counseling program demonstrated:

  • Measurable reductions in student behavior problems
  • Increased school attendance
  • Improved academic performance
  • Improved self-esteem
