HOW TO ACCESS FOOD IF YOU’RE IN NEED:
If you are in need of food, PLEASE USE the Food Bank of the Southern Tier Food Finder link and use your local pantry FIRST. Turning Point is here for you, if all the food pantries are closed in your town. The Food Bank list is updated daily with a list of food pantries available in towns.
FOOD BANK OF THE SOUTHERN TIER FOOD DISTRIBUTION The Food Bank is holding Community Food Distributions which can serve several hundred households IN NEED at one distribution. The Community Food Distributions will be centrally located in each of the six counties we serve. The two largest counties – Steuben and Broome – will be served by three distribution sites. For pantry services in Bath and Hornell, Turning Point will be switching to Monday-Friday (9-12 and 1-4) non-contact pantry delivery by appointment only. Please call the Hornell or Bath office to make an appointment. Please note: The Bath office is closed Wednesday afternoons. There will be no food deliveries or office hours after 12pm. You may leave a message and your call will be returned on Thursday.
Turning Point basic needs services in Bath and Hornell have been suspended. However, Painted Post will have limited non-contact services by phone. Please call 607-962-0704 for inquiries and leave a message. Someone will get back to you as soon as they are able. Thank you for understanding.
HEALTHY FAMILIES STEUBEN
Healthy Families Steuben has suspended in home visi ts to participants through 4/12/20 (date subject to change). During this time, participants will be offered virtual home visits and all program staff will be working remotely. If you are in need of program information or are interested in making a referral, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact Program Manager, Jill Smith at (607) 968-0886.
2-1-1 Helpline is a resource that County residents can call, text, or chat for referral service and updated information. People that have urgent Social Services, Mental Health, or Public Health needs to contact the 2-1-1 Helpline. www.211helpline.org

The Kinship Family and Youth service priority for Catholic Charities of Steuben helps families develop the capacities for healthy family functioning and promotes healthy child development.
The Substance Free Living service priority for Catholic Charities of Steuben reduces the prevalence of substance abuse and its negative consequences in the population of the area served.
