Nutrition Outreach and Education Program Assistant: Assist the NOEP Coordinator in reaching the objective of increasing participation in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) among Steuben County residents. Responsibilities include providing SNAP outreach and assistance to eligible individuals, increasing awareness about and improving perception of SNAP within the greater community, and developing partnerships with local social service organizations interested in expanding SNAP participation.
Rural Coordinator: Manage the day-to-day site based operations at Turning Point Hornell and provide oversight to Steuben County Rural Ministry, ensuring that the policies and practices of Catholic Charities Turning Point are followed. Oversee the volunteer service program that supports projects and community events. Supervise the food, nutrition, and rural ministry services in Hornell and Steuben County Rural Ministry, creating a critical point of entry for people in economic crisis. Identify and support the needs of the rural community of Steuben County and promote a positive presence of Catholic Charities of Steuben in this locality.
